Kayrakkum Carpets reopened administrative buildings after the modernization

In the end of August 2019, the staff of the oldest and the largest carpet weaving enterprise in Tajikistan held an opening ceremony for two new administrative buildings. Zafar Azimov, the founder of Zamwell, and the city mayor took part in the ceremony.

Kayrakkum Carpets is one of theoldest and largest textile factories in Tajikistan. In mid-2010, Zamwell started to invest into the factory’s re-equipment that provided it with high-performance European looms, including Belgian Van De Wiele machines.

The repaired buildings have a long history. Constructed to replace a part of the plant that had been destroyed by the devastating earthquake of 1985, they served for over three decades. The modernization of the first building was completed in the summer of 2019. Its new office spaces and meeting rooms have been fitted with modern office equipment with Internet access. There is a carpet showroom and a spacious dining room in the building.

Building No 2 was ready to welcome the employees a little earlier. It was modernized to make the work of the carpet weavers as comfortable as possible. The building has new dressing rooms, showers with heated floors, lounges, training classes and a library. In June 2019, Kayrakkum Carpets purchased two additional buses for workers.
